Long-Term Direction for the Channel

17 March 2026, Tuesday - it's weird that there are no promotions this week. i think there was a promotion last week, but I'm not that sure -- so I'm going to journal about this.

In the past, the old-me would think that this is bad. Did i do something wrong? Am i being singled-out? That's a negative response to the situation. Perhaps the algorithm sees that this particular week of the month would not need as much riders out on the road.

I did go out this afternoon at around 4pm. I was able to do a single run, which gave me AU$5.00. I guess the algorithim knows. On a typical day with promotion, the orders would come one after the other.

Starting next week, i'm going to use mondays and tuesdays as "bike-to-eat" days. I'd take my bike some place that's outside of my comfort zone and have something to eat...or have coffee.

This way, i'd have different content to shoot, and that it's going to be relevant to the vlog. It gets old if it's always videos about doing runs. By doing bike to eat videos, it gets interesting.

As the channel grows, i'd be able to do farther trips, maybe even do overnight trips. I often remind myself that the primary job is to shoot b-roll, not to earn money doing ubereats. The former is long term is compounding, while the latter is to cover expenses until the compounding kicks in.

This is what keeps me going.
